Let’s get your new business named and registered with the state and government as a legal business entity!

We’ll help you come up with a name for the business, register it as a single-member LLC and get an EIN. (LLC business license fees are included in Incubator registration costs.)

Let’s talk about what customers you should be targeting and how you can attract them.

We’ll come up with their identity and demographics, biggest challenges, a day in the life, and motivations. So that you can get clear on who you’ll be marketing to.

WEEK 4: Competitive research and narrating your brand

We will show you how to stand out from your competitors and narrate your brand so that you can turn your new brand identity into a story that will connect with customers.

We’ll also help you develop a competitive analysis to establish what makes your products or services unique and, therefore, what attributes you play up in order to attract your target market.

We will help you come up with your product and service offerings and figure out competitive pricing for your industry.

Interested in winning a $5,000 grant for your business? In this session, we’ll provide a sample pitch deck and teach you what goes into a great pitch.

Two weeks later, 5 finalists will be selected to pitch their companies live and one finalist will be selected to win the grant at our Business Expo and Pitch Competition.

week 12: bonus training – Building a Sales Funnel and Facebook Ads*

In this one-day training, we’ll teach you how to set up an automated sales funnel that will bring in consistent leads. We’ll walk you through how to create a free offer to draw leads in, how to set up a nurture email sequence to draw clients closer to making a buying decision, and help with automated appointment scheduling to get them on your calendar. 

The second half of this training will walk you through the process of setting up a Facebook ad to promote your free offer.

Business Expo and Pitch Competition

Now that you have an established business, it’s time to promote it! You will be given a table at our End of Class Business Expo to showcase your company and start selling your products and services! Prospective shoppers from all over the DC Metropolitan area will be in attendance and you are welcome to invite your family and friends as well!

We’ll also have 5 finalists pitch their business to a select panel of judges and one finalist will take home a grant for $5,000.

We’ll be meeting every Saturday at Creative Colony Spaces in their conference room. Classes will be taught live, and up to 16 students may register to attend in person. All classes will be live-streamed via Zoom and will be available for replay after. (Additional students are welcome to register as a virtual student.)

Who is this course for?

This course is for you if you are a new or aspiring entrepreneur looking to work full-time in your purpose one day and would like to grow your business to six figures a year or more!

How is this course different from others?

Our course was created by award-winning brand strategist, web designer, marketing coach, speaker, YouTuber and Podcast host, Adrian M. White. Adrian holds an MBA in Marketing and has successfully launched 5 companies over the last 13 years.

This course will allow you to learn what Adrian has learned in the last 13 years about branding, web design, and marketing to grow a six-figure business in just 12 weeks.

What if I am not able to attend every class?

All classes will be recorded and are available for replay at anytime. There will be no attendance requirement to participate in the incubator, but all coursework must be completed before Week 12 to be eligible to pitch your business for the $5,000 grant. Please note, class attendance will be considered when selecting our final grant recipient.

What equipment is needed to participate?

Your only requirement is to bring a computer to class. This can be a desktop if you are a virtual student or a laptop. Tablets are not recommended. A limited number of loaner laptops are available for rent during registration for in-person students.

Are there any additional costs?

Your first year of business licenses and domain and hosting registration is included in your incubator registration costs. Although not required, if you are participating in the Bonus Training – Building a Sales Funnel and Facebook Ads it is suggested that you purchase a subscription to an email marketing system where you can automate emails ($17-40/month). It is also recommended to buy a subscription to an automated scheduling platform like Calendly ($12-15/month). More info will be provided during the class.

What support is available during the course?

Every Saturday that training occurs, there will be at least one hour available during the class to ask the instructor questions and work on the homework assignment for that week with guidance. Additionally, there will be weekly office hours held via Zoom where you can ask additional questions if needed. Email support is also available.

What website platform do you work with?

All of our templates are designed using the  WordPress platform.

Do I need to know how to code or do web design beforehand?

No, you do not need to have any prior technical knowledge besides having internet access if you are a virtual student and a computer you can log in with.

What if I don't want to customize my own website template?

For an additional fee, you will have the option to hire our team to develop your brand/logo, copywriting and to design your website. Below are the fees:

Logo Design – $650
Logo and Brand Style Guide Design – $1,000
Website Template Customization – $850
Review and Edit of Copywriting – $250
Full Website Copywriting – $650

About the Instructor
